The Fox
and Hounds serves continental fare with German highlights in the
scenic rolling hills of the Kettle Moraine forest in
Hubertus. The menu here is worthy of royalty. It has a
long list of awards and accolades that will support my referral. The
restaurant is owned by Josef and Jane Ratzsch and has remained true
to its roots which date back to 1933. The interior setting
will have you feeling as though you have wandered back through
time. It is rustic and lodgey, and decorated impeccably with
"old world" charm. Just a few miles from Holy Hill, (located
on the "Attractions" Page) this makes for a fine ending to a
wonderful day touring Wisconsin, or as an unforgettable dinner date.
I suggest the spinach salad with the hot bacon dressing and either
the duck or goose.

The Red Circle Inn, Wisconsin's oldest
restaurant, was established in 1848 and continues a proud tradition
of gracious hospitality under the fairly new owners, Norm and Martha
Eckstaedt. The Circle has always been rated one of the finest
in the state. Coupled with its grace, elegance and grandeur, it is
the favorite of many discerning diners. Classic preparation of the
finest of meats, fish, poultry and game await your palate as you
relax in the beautiful, richly paneled bar. Many of the elite from
Pine Lake and the surrounding areas, call this their "home
restaurant." Its name was derived from the red circle in the
original Pabst logo, as The Pabst family owned started the
tradition. Between the flavor of the cuisine and the flavor of
Wisconsin's opulant yesteryear, you can do no wrong at the Red
Circle.
